I was hooked on this book from reading the cover blurb, and I enjoyed all of the narrators in the audiobook. I did not realize this author also wrote The Chateau until after I finished this one, and I'm glad about that and liked The Main Character better!
A mix of Italian scenery, a glimpse of life in the Soviet Union and then as an immigrant in America, and the right amount of secrets and hidden intentions!
The book is described as "giving homage to Agatha Christie" and I don't take that as this book being compared to one of hers. In addition to being set on the Orient Express, there are a few references to Agatha Christie and her books, including how great of a writer she was.
I strongly encourage you to not skip the authors note at the end of the book.
