Droll. Annoying. Plot holes everywhere. Don’t know why I forced myself to finish this shit.

I am THRILLED to say that this book absolutely blew me away. It was so enjoyable, shocking and easy to read (in a good way). Coming off a book I didn't love from McKinnon, this one reminded me why I love her writing so much.

I loved the layers all of the characters had and how it all unfolded as you kept reading. I really enjoyed the dual timelines, it kept me totally immersed in the book while also giving insight to the history of the girls and the band, and what comes of them. Whose side are you going to take?

I was not expecting THE twist, and it did shock me.
I had a great time reading this book. It wasn't the story I thought I'd find after reading the blurb, but it did get to me, and I enjoyed it a lot.

What really happened to The Bittersweet? I'd love to blurt out every juicy detail; you've got to read the thrilling story for yourself!

Picture this - an all-female band on the brink of stardom. They're on their way to an event when disaster strikes - their vehicle veers off a remote mountain road, and things turn dark. There's a fatal accident and a chilling disappearance.

From there, it's a heart-pounding tale of survival, friendship, and betrayal. With shifting timelines and unexpected twists, you'll be on the edge of your seat as the band members face one harrowing ordeal after another.

But that's just the start - the narrative delves deep into the complex relationship between the two lead members, Madison and Vienna. Once the action kicks off, you'll be unable to put the book down. "Only One Survives" is a story that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster - wild, intoxicating, and utterly captivating.

Although I have most of Ms. McKinnon's books on my TBR list, I was shocked to find this is the first I've read! I'm so impressed by this book and her kindness that I'll move them up on my list.

Thanks to the author and HTP Books/Mira for providing an ARC of this book through NetGalley. All opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

I flew through this! The unique premise had me captivated. I enjoyed the music parts and all the music references. I think I wanted to stay in that world a bit longer, and it didn’t help that there weren’t any redeemable characters for the most part. While the main twist more than halfway through the novel caught me off guard, I got bored at the slow build-up at the end, because I could sense it coming and felt impatient watching it all unfold. The ending was not satisfying due to this.
