My expectations were a lot lower for this book. I thought, the revolution was won, what story could be left to tell? I am happy to be wrong. Because this was a terriblely sad, but beautiful and haunting story that made me wish for more from these characters. Every character had depth and pain and grace. Even the unexpected ones.

Pretty good! Realistic wrap up, very Games of Thrones like. I was waiting to be disappointed, but the Ross did a really good job with this story.

Not bad, not bad for a sequel. Some good little twists and plots to the story. Never know what to say without giving to much of the story away.

I like the different perspectives and storylines happening with the 2 main characters. Which blended the narrative nicely.

I took no notice of the family tree as it isn't really needed.

It was a worth while sequel to read.

The only downfall, was the ending. I hate it when a book is dragged out. I really struggled and had to push through the last 80 pages. It was literally just tying up loose ends, which was of no surprise and a bit of a snooze fest.
I kept on going, hoping there might be a good cliff hanger at the end with a shocking twist, killing or something! To make the last 80 pages worthwhile. But 'NO' it ended just as I predicted and a bit disappointing 😔.
