Sweet baby Jesus this easily became one of the funniest and best books I've ever read in the first few chapters! I laughed so hard tears were shed. Friggin amazing and I highly recommend you all read this now! Great story:]

Great read. It reminds me of a movie I'd see on Hallmark... only with sex.

Surprisingly funny and hot book - loved it!

I feel like I'm saying this about a lot of books lately, but the best way I can think to explain this book very simply is:
Good, but not great.

A little too much Sweet Home Alabama going on for me. I will say though, that out of the hundred books I've read in the last few years, I think Mack is up there in my too favorites of book boyfriends. That man was just perfection. There is nothing about him or how he was written/characterized that I can critique or dislike in even a slight way. Mack is hands down the perfect net f this book, and had the story not resembled that movie so much, I would likely have given this book five stars for Mack alone.

Truth is, that besides the parallel to the movie, I didn't fully love Andie, and I was disappointed we lost Kelly and Candice so early on in the book.

Andie was just too weak. Sure she was made out to be a strong, intelligent, independent woman, but that was not what she was at all. I am quite certain the author meant to do this on purpose, which is what makes me like the book as a whole, but I still just wasn't sold on Andie. What woman would let her two best friends g that easily, and over a man? What woman makes up a life plan because of teenage abuse, but then allows a man to place his hands on her and she still walks away with him? What woman makes a plan to find love when she plans a life where she's not even sure she loves what she's doing? Andie was just a little too contradictory; and, while as I said, I think this was done intentionally, I just couldn't get on board with the whole idea of it. Meaning that in the end, I just wasn't a fan of our main character.

Candice and Kelly MADE the beginning of the book. So when we reach the chapter that tells us that she hasn't spoken to them in over a year, it really just bothered me. As a female, with two extremely insane, yet lovable, best friends, no matter what happens in life, there is absolutely NO way that I could go a year without speaking to them. To me, this again just makes Andie look like a bad person in my opinion. So I really wish we had been able to see more of these two fun ladies and laugh a little more throughout the story. I mean, we know Kelly got married, but we know basically nothing about Candice, and I can't deny that I wish I did know more about her.

Bradley, clearly I don't like him, nor am I meant to. However, I am left a little confused by him because I don't know if he really did love her or just saw her as a good addition to his life plan. It was fuzzy there at the end as to what his truth was. I actually lean towards he did love her and was hurt to lose her, which makes me sort of feel bad for him.

Technical side of the book: well written. No spelling or grammar issues that I can remember at all. Story was well paced, and timeline wasn't a confusing mess, which it easily could have turned into. There were a few regional things that I questioned in the book that make me curious about the author, her back ground and whether she has actually been to any of the regions she wrote about. All I know though is that she lives in France. I don't know where she grew up, if it was in America, or where, but I tend to think that if she did grow up in America, then she definitely did not do so in the northeast where the book is set just due to small little things such as some of the food mentioned.

So in the end, good book, but not great. I honestly feel like she was sitting at home watching Sweet Home Alabama when she wrote this because of how many parallels there truly are. I can't fault authors for writing books that remind me of other books, and had that been the case, I wouldn't lower my rating like I did here; but when you write a book years after a mainstream Hollywood movie and it is similar, I have to fault your lack of creativity. Again though, Gavin/Mack is the definition of pure perfection in a man and good lord I want him in every book I read, every movie I watch, and every place I walk into in life.

Cute und leicht zu lesen, aber auch einfach ein bisschen herzerwärmend

Loved this cowboy romance! I needed a romantic comedy, and this one fit the bill perfectly. Mack and Andie had insane chemistry (great sex scenes!), and their love story was immensely entertaining, with a lot of humor, and a very light sprinkling of angst. I finished this with a smile and an "awwww."

a really sweet read...

This was going to be MUCH higher if it wasn't for the terrible knock-down fights and brawling at a family BBQ. Ugh.

Also our shiny spined lawyer turned into a HUGE damsel in distress throughout the novel and it is always a pet peeve of mine when authors create this strong badass intelligent woman and then turn her into a spineless character by the time the hero saunters in.
