Another great love story by Marley. I liked the twist, it was an interesting change of pace for a romance book. And Ioved the familiar faces from previous books!

I wanted to like this book so much. The writing is excellent and the love between the mc’s is palpable. However there was a lack of romance for me. There was also such an unnecessary cheating trope, they could’ve handled that differently. It was basically miscommunication after miscommunication. I felt so bad for Elena and was glad she was the one who ended up breaking the relationship off, it did feel unnecessary to have two extremely short chapters in her pov. I liked the support of gaels family and how accepting they were. The bonus epilogue shows a little of Elena moving on and being happy which I appreciated because she didn’t deserve what happened. I also felt like there was just so much missing from the past and the development of their relationship that would’ve added more to the story had it been included
