cute

Ache is an emotional angsty friends to lovers MM romance standalone.

I’d not read anything by Marley before but had a few on my audible TBR after having them pop up as recommended based on what I read/listen too. And I’m so glad I finally got to listening to this one!

Gael and Jordan have been best friends since kindergarten. Gael is about to get married and Jordan organises his bachelor party in Vegas.

This book is filled with unrequited love, angst and heartache. While I could see where the story would unfold I still couldn't stop listening. It was one of those 'can't look away' moments, you just have to ride it out, but it was so worth it. I'm looking forward to reading more from Marley.

As I've said with many reviews Teddy is a go to narrator, but I definitely enjoyed the blend of him with Gomez Pugh and appearances of Emma Wilder. This is an easy audio to listen to.

Listened to this one on audio I was hooked from chapter 1! The audio with the multiple perspectives really added so much to the story. If you’re looking for something that will 100% tug at your heartstrings with some serious steam thrown in- I would highly recommend!

I loved it. The plot was good, the writing was also good but it was a bit too predictable. Otherwise I enjoyed it

3/5 ⭐️‘s! What happens in Vegas DOES not stay in Vegas yall.

I liked this book. It did feel very rushed for me in the beginning. However, I did like Gael and Jordan’s story. I finished reading Without You and saw that Deacon and Julian were secondary characters in this book. So Without You being the masterpiece it is, I had to read this book.

Gael and Jordan have been bestfriends for forever. They grew up together and have always had a special connection to each other. Jordan has been in love with Gael for years now but he always believed something between them would never be possible. Especially since Gael is now engaged to be married to Elena. Jordan wants to whisk him away for one last time before he loses Gael for good, so he gifts Gael and his friends a trip to Vegas for a bachelor’s party. And well, some stuff goes on from there.

Marley Valentine’s writing is really good, I loved the writing in Without You so much it made me cry. I didn’t feel too connected to these characters like I did in Without You because everything just happened so fast in the beginning of the book. However, I do feel it was necessary for it to be kinda fast based on how the rest of the story went. But nonetheless, the writing was still great and I did enjoy the story.

Also, Frankie who was I guess was a friends with benefit type of situation with Jordan and he has his own book too?? So I’ll definitely be reading it because I liked his character!

4.5 stars - I really liked it!

I finally read a Marley Valentine book!!! I've been wanting to read a book from this author since forever and I always thought Without You would be the first book I would read from her - granted I should have read that one first, but oh well - and I'm hooked!! This book was so great, it had drama, it had angst, it was steamy, there was so much love!!

There is a content warning which I don't love usually, I don't know why I thought it was alright in this book though?? Marley Valentine is just a great writer and I think that she framed the story in a way that the reader knows it's wrong, giving it that forbidden aspect and everything, and so that interests us, well, me in this case. But either way, be aware of that!

I am definitely going to be reading more from this author!!
