so this was my first mm romance so i didnt know what i was getting into but it was surprisingly SO GOOD. i cant wait to read julian and his husbands story. i immediately thought that would be a great book when i read the paragraph about that in this story. this was such an emotional book for me and i definitely cried when gael got into that crash. and im kinda sad he never recovered those memories but im glad they have those pictures together from that time!

Captivating read, Valentine expertly conveys the raw, heartbreaking emotions that come from Gael and Jordan's situation. If you aren't looking for NSFW content, Ache may not be for you. With that noted, the plot runs much deeper than the physical aspect of Gael and Jordan's relationship.

This book caught my attention because on the cover is an actual couple posing.

What I Enjoyed:
- Friends to lovers trope
- The positive representation of acceptance by family members.

What I didn't enjoy:
- Miscomunicattion trope was overdone
- I was not satisfied with how the story developed. I wanted to see the pining, the aching and the suffering to navigate the feelings and relationship. Rather than being told.
- The cheating...
