Mmmmmm I wanna give it more but it seemed kind of all over the place to me. I mean I liked where the story was going and maybe it woulda been different had I listened to the audiobook instead and I could really point out what it was that wasn’t sitting well. But even still, for the most part it was a good read, it was sexy but also super sweet and then heartbreaking but like I couldn’t stop reading it?
The connection, acceptance, and love between these two? Breathtaking
Oh wow.. this was second MM book by Marley that I’ve read and it was just as beautiful and gorgeously written as the other (Without You if you wanna check it out!). She honestly has such a way with words that just takes you on the most emotional journey with the characters.
This follows best friends Gael & Jordan who have spent years denying their feelings for each other. It’s a hard read to see them both struggling with their emotions and going after what they want. But when they come together.. it is just beautiful

Absolutely unhinged amnesia plot twist?? sexy best friends to lovers?? marley valentine gives me unrealistic expectations for love yet again
I’ve been so stoked for a new Marley Valentine! I’ve been slumping so hard lately but I devoured these pages in a day!
So beautifully written with complex characters, a unique plot, and plenty of tension. I was hooked from the first sentence and left smiling on the last page!

"For so long, I have loved you from afar, I’m begging you, please, please let me love you up close.”
Gael and Jordan have been best friends since kindergarten. Jordan became part of Gael's family when he came out and was kicked out of his house at 17. They share such a beautiful and unique bond. Jordan has been in love with Gael for years and has loved him from afar, as Gael is currently engaged to Elena another long-term friend although unbeknownst to Jordan he isn't the only one who has been harbouring feelings for years and Gael is reaching breaking point with hiding what and who he truly wants.
Straight out of the gate, I will say that this book does contain themes of infidelity, so if that isn't something you can vibe with, this story may not be for you.
I think the way Marley wrote that particular aspect of this story was realistic and as much as you could tell Gael didn't want to hurt Elena he had just reached a point where he couldn't lie to himself about his true desires anymore. Should he have handled it differently? Absolutely, but i also believe that Elena wasn't innocent in the situation as she KNEW deep down where Gaels heart was and decided to live with blinkers on instead of facing the truth and the way the whole situationunfolded just felt very human and demonstrated that we are all flawed. I adored the relationship between Jordan & Gael, my heart ached for them at times throughout this, and both Gomez Pugh & Teddy Hamiltons performances only served to highlight the emotion of the story. The audiobook was available to me with my Everand subscription. 🌶🌶

Definitely brought the feels, but went exactly how anticipated. Enjoyed the side characters and seeing Julian and Deacon again.
I also don’t really like the trope, but like, that’s not the books fault so I’m not really going to let it impact my rating? I picked it up anyways.

I loved this book! Bestfriends to lovers is one of my new favorites to read. There was this high half way through this book and then it crashed but it got built back up again. The only thing I wish happened was Gael remembering Vegas because that was such a core part of their relationship in the beginning but I also understand why he didn’t and they still built that relationship they had in Vegas but even better. Forever Jordan and Gael.
Well, well, well.. I was waiting for this book since the Winter Wonderland Giveaways, back then it was one of my favorite.
So the first 30% are the same as in the short story, so I skipped a lot of that.
The plot is an emotional rollercoaster and I want to point out the things I liked. (!spoiler!)
1. Jordan and Gale have this crazy chemistry. There is so much love and so much ache, that you feel it in every word. The author does a great job in transporting the feelings without being over the top cheesy (most of the time ♥️
