Horrifically tragic. Trama porn. Don’t read if you are not in a good place.

I thought this was super beautiful and well written and I get the hype. I do think
having the Dr Traylor plot was a little much like his character was developed enough with being groomed once felt the second time was overkill…..

I have never been sucked into a book so deeply. Felt like I entered inside the book and was living in this story for the entirety of it. The hardest book I’ve ever had to read but I already wish I could read it over again.

Genuinely, the worst book I’ve ever read. Misleading with the opening making you think you’re going to see 4 guys go from graduating college to maturing in the real world. It then turns to focus on one specific character who is competing with every fictional character on the worst backstory I’ve ever seen. Torture porn olympics to the point it gets comedic at times. This alongside the author’s take on therapy; skip this one. There should a trigger warning on the cover of this book.

I feel like the alternate title of this book should be Just When You Think It Can’t Get Worse, It Does.

Having said that, this is one of the best books I’ve read.  I just wanted to hug Jude and take care of him.  The things he endured, the things he accomplished, and the people he surrounded himself with kept me in the story.

There is one point where I threw the book across the room.  There are several points where I had to set the book aside for a period of time before picking it back up.  So, take care of yourself as you read this.  But, man, what a fantastic piece of literature!
