I listened to the audiobook on 1x speed for the most part. It was beautifully written and very very long. 
Do yourself a favour and pick the abridged version (I read unabridged) and take the content warnings seriossly!!!

Unrealistic portrayal of the manifestations of severe trauma. Felt like it was written by someone who has never experienced trauma. Also needed to be edited. It was way too long and there were at least 300 useless boring pages that added nothing to the story.

honestly not sure what to say about this book except that I felt like it was lowkey trauma-porn. So many scenes felt unnecessarily violent and there seems to be no redemption for the main character who is disabled and gay... what does that say about the experience of those two identities? I wouldn't recommend to anyone who is sensitive to issues of domestic violence/abuse/suicidal ideation/rape/etc.
