What if Tiana made a deal that changed everything? This is book 13 in the Twisted Tales series. It was not my favorite, I felt like it was at least 100 pages too long. I loved The Princess and the Frog, but this dragged.

There was a lot of missed potential with this book. It could’ve been a truly creepy read perfect for Halloween, but it felt like a washed out version of the movie. It’s honestly the first twisted tale where I preferred the movie to the retelling.

The writing was somewhat repetitive and there were times when “friends from the other side” was used several times on a single page.

All-in-all, it was an alright twisted tale… but Naveen back probably hurt by the end from (low key) sort of carrying the book for me.

The Princess and the Frog is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time, and this book really captures the characters I know and love. It explored vodou and the traditional practices in a lot more depth too, and made everyone's special gift shine! The city of N'awlins jumped off the page for me and makes me want to visit so much more. Can't wait to read more of her work

This whole series is pretty good but this book was just okay. It didn't get interesting until half way through.

It starts slow but give it time it’s worth it!! Super cool telling that explores, what if?
