I was not able to connect to this story as I would have liked. It was marketed as Dad’s bestfriend but Nikolai didn’t really seem like the type. Sure he could be older but with how the character was written, I would say just a few years from Sienna. 

I also got super confused at the start with the timeline. It felt a little bit chaotic for me. 

I also didn’t like the ending with how nothing was resolved in terms of the issues they had and the reason for the breakup. Just like magic, dad died then epilogue they are back together and living together. 

I made sure to read the entire book so I can form my opinion fully but I really did feel that I wanted to DNF so many times. 

Take note that again this is my experience and it may be better when you read it.
