Any extremely interesting, thought provoking novel. Detailing the cross section between Hmong culture and Western medicine, Fadiman brilliantly crafts a work that is poignant even today. Many times I found myself wondering “What is the right thing to do?” and, honestly, I’m still unsure. Highly recommend.
