Hoooly fuuuuck.
This has been on my TBR for a long time now and I kept putting it off because I just knew it was gunna be dirty AF and I was saving it for a desperate times, lack of spicy books, dry spell kinda situation. Weelll, let me tell you… mission fucking accomplished! This book was filthy. It was depraved. It was fucking glorious lol.
I’ve loved Sara’s writing ever since reading her Sterling Falls series (5/5 from both Kass and I btw!) and this series is just as well written and I fully expect that from all of the books in it.
The spice is *chef’s kiss* So. Fucking. Good. Sara’s spicy scenes are always top tier and this really, really delivered. But please, check the trigger warnings if you’re not used to darker romance. There’s definitely some dubious consent, bullying and other things.
Greyson annoyed the shit out of me in the beginning, like, I loathed him. But by the end of it, I was fully on board and now have a new book boyfriend - which doesn’t even remotely surprise me because Sara is phenomenal at what she does lol. I really liked Violet’s arc and how her character developed and the little twists that were thrown in there really kept me interested. The two of them together was fucking perfection.
So, if you’re in need of a filthy, depraved, gloriously smutty palate cleanser, then this is the book for you! And I’m currently bingeing the second one because why stop with one dirty, hot AF hockey player when you could have two lol.

I didn’t know dark hockey romances existed! Check trigger warnings because there’s a lot to unpack in this book.. Greyson is crazy and went to some extreme lengths for Violet. Push and pull relationship, Hockey captain x ballerina, MMC is very demanding and controlling. Will for sure be continuing this series!!
