UGH. I wanted to like this book. I started reading it because of some reviews I saw on this platform. But I was so disappointed. This book doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it a mystery? Is it hockey? Is it dark? Is it ballet? Like.....it has too much going on. It's also the poster child for quality not quantity: there are so many short spicy scenes, but nothing that I go "oh, that's well done." I kept reading because there was always something to catch my attention, but the plot felt like it had worse ADD than my mom.

You know a book that has amazing writing, an addictive plot, multi-layered characters and a dark, immersive setting is going to be good. I devoured this 600 page book in the span of 2 hours. I did not even drink water until I was done reading. This is a dark-ish hockey romance with an obsessive MMC, good smut but there is an actual plot to the story. Check trigger warnings please.
