Nothing revolutionary, but it was a good reminder to make small changes and not fight against the way that you are, but rather build around your basics.

I'm not a fan of self-help books, but this was surprisingly interesting. Great examples of how and why certain habits are easier to implement than others. I highly recommend it.

Since I love escaping to fictional worlds, I don't often read books that are mostly categorized as Self-Help. Also I would like for them to be honest and call it Self-Work since there's certainly no help in them without labora part. This book became popular via Booktok and some of my favorite creators on YouTube so I decided to 'step away' from my 'higher self' and give it a go. Admittedly, I do find myself disciplined and organized in some areas and I didn't want another author to shout at me for not folding my laundry - my laundry is clean, folded, my areas are neat and organized, the prospect of unexpected quests DOES NOT SCARE ME KAREN. [But I don't live alone (yet) and the house is lived in to the max.] My space is clear, but my mind isn't so here we go.
As I thought, great deal of this book deals with "messiness", has countless of extreme example and personal stories. All the things I hate because of the one single reason - we are all born, grown and educated differently so how can someone's story relate to other's. Some people are similar, some are vastly different. Bla, bla, bla not gonna deal with this part.
So after a few days, the part of the book that stayed with me was something that added up to one of my own systems I use. It's called gamification and it consists of turning boring tasks into games - in my case it's usually played on a Monday morning. I challenge myself how much cleaning I can do in an hour; every time I finish a task write it down on a paper. Soon enough, the game transforms into making the biggest list and time restriction is almost forgotten. Ohh the pleasure once you put it down and make a BIG BOLD LINE across gives me chills even now. It's all very violent, with temporary delights.
I do struggle with the start of things, especially if it's the one thing I have to do that that. Soon it becomes THE BIG THING, bigger than itself, bigger than me, bigger than Goliath and David combined. James helped here - he recommended a system how to make yourself do something. Tricks and tips for pages. Make it more precise, set time and date for it - a plan. Keep up with the streak, be 1% better each day, make your goals attractive and repeated my life moto says think big but start small.
In the end, it was a pleasant book and James really did the works - provided all the templates, planes even additional books regarding business and children. It would be a great book for my teenage self, the know-it-all who as it turned out didn't know it all. I'm not here to berate her, but some things could have been done sooner.
James, you were sufficiently clear. I give you 3 Protons, 3 Neutrons and 3 Electrons.

Nothing new. There were like 3 nice reminders that I’m considering implementing, but I was hoping for something more practical and less obvious.
