As always Ronan (and Adam) were amazing and I actually really loved the new characters + I really started to like the other Lynch brothers! The dreamer plot continues to be great.

On weekdays, he gave in to the impulse of adding to his strange herds. On weekends, he spent his Mass regretfully apologizing to God for his hubris.

I loved it. I hated it. Adam wears a tweed vest in it, which I have a lot of feelings about.

okay, listen up. this is a really good spin off series, because it manages to stay within the same world and yet invent itself entirely new. i loved it, though a lot of that may be because i’m obsessed with ronan.

that aside, this book was a little messy. i fully understand why it had to be messy, because all characters and concepts needed to be introduced, a story had to be set up, but it was quite exhausting to read at times, and i cannot begin to describe to you how often i had to stop myself from just skimming through certain parts because i was like “god, i don’t care, get me to the story lines i care about”, but in the end everything ran together very nicely, and i have great hope that the next book will be an even better read.

This series is not for everyone that enjoyed the raven cycle, it has very different vibes and it’s written very differently. More tense and higher stakes, a little less whimsical and more concerned with adult themes. That said, I absolutely loved it and it means so much to me, especially since Ronan is my favorite raven boy.

Hi. I'm not objective. I'm just obsessed with Ronan.

Not as compelling as The Raven Cycle.
Some excellent moments and as always I adore Ronan and Adam together. Took a long time to really feel for the newer characters. Happy about Dbag’s progress towards hero.
