este libro lo leí en español, mientras al mismo tiempo leía the wind-up bird chronicle de murakami.
a pesar de que es corto, lo disfruté bastante. abunda en diálogo y las descripciones son precisas, en sí la lectura es ligera. un elemento que resalta mucho es el mono no aware, inherente a la cultura japonesa. es la primera vez que me veo frente a este tipo de estética y me gustó. por otro lado, no miré la contraportada antes de entear de lleno en el texto, así que el final me tomó por sorpresa.

I've really enjoyed the two books of Banana Yoshimoto I have read. They are easy to read and delicate in the storytelling though the matter can be intense at times. Look forward to sourcing some more by this author.

Đọc xong Hồ trong vỏn vẹn một ngày, mình chưa đọc cuốn nào nhanh như thế. Chắc tại Hồ buồn, muốn đọc leo lẻo cho qua đi mấy thứ lắt léo mềm mại chơi vơi trong đó.
Trang 2 cuốn sách nói Banana thường kết có hậu. Cuốn này quả là như vậy, mặc dù chẳng biết cuối cùng kinh đô ánh sáng có vẽ đôi trai gái thành một thứ màu khác. Như Darcy và Elizabeth thực ra kết hôn xong vài chục năm lại có thể đã đường ai đấy đi.

I should not have read the back of the book before reading this because the cult plays a minor part and is introduced pretty late in the book. I would have enjoyed the book much more if I had to piece things together myself and wasn't always waiting for the cult drama. There were some really cool parts and overall the book was a pretty quick fun read.

"Vedi, le persone come noi non stanno mai nel mezzo. Siamo sempre ai margini, e in linea generale sono convinto che sia meglio non distinguersi troppo. Il più delle volte vediamo le cose al contrario rispetto a tutti gli altri, e se ci distinguiamo finiamo inevitabilmente per attirarci delle inimicizie. Ma ci sono cose sulle quali è importante non cedere mai, o si finisce per vivere come degli eremiti"

Este definitivamente no es mi tipo de libro. A ver, no me disgusto y tiene un buen mensaje y linda escritura, pero no tendría que haber tardado tanto en leer un libro tan corto. También voy a ser sincera y decir que este libro me decepcionó un poco, creo que Yoshimoto escribió una historia muy linda con un buen mensaje, pero a veces sentía que la protagonista quería hacer sonar todo poético cuando en realidad no lo era y hacía el libro mucho más denso. Nakajima por su parte fue un personaje re interesante y su historia me atrapó mucho.
Este no es un libro que vaya a releer, pero creo que para las personas que le gustan los libros melancólicos, este libro es perfecto.
