this was one of the more emotionally difficult Agatha Christie mysteries to get thru for me so far, but I'm glad I stuck with it! I enjoy Christie's writing overall, but it's hard to enjoy all of her work knowing both her social positions and how those positions often get reflected in her writing. more than in her other work I felt as though the victim was spoken down upon, even/especially by seemingly more sympathetic characters.

Quick tasty read, another excellent twist at the end. I've enjoyed having my little suspicions through an Agatha Christie book and being wrong at the end, but not completely! And as before the character of Miss Marple was absolutely charming.

I spent way to much time trying to figure out who everyone was in this book, there were just too many characters to deal with, and their link to the murder. This ruined the book for me and made this book hard work to read. I also was disappointed with the ending as I felt it was obvious half way through the book who had done it. This is my least favourite Christie book I've read so far.
