Some of this was the signature content I expected, but I can’t get past how many times it was unfunny and even offensive. Blergh.
Really liked it. While some material is no longer PC, some of it made me laugh out loud.
Can’t recommend as a book to read but I did eventually enjoy listening to it. I got about 1/4 of the way through the hardcover and returned it to the library. As a compendium of all of Seinfeld’s bits over the years, it’s a great resource but not a great read. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I would would read collections of Charlie Brown cartoons or the Guinness Book of World Records. Lots of fun facts but not a page turner. Regardless of the format, I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more if there were context about the bits, for example if he just wrote a few sentences like “The first time I tried this at Catch a Rising Star, a waiter tripped during the set” or “George Wallace helped me change the last line of this one.” If you're a Seinfeld fan, it is worth listening to the audio book just for some laughs.
3.5 stars. The weird robot lady voice threw me for a loop although I do understand having someone read the subjects because of the way this is written. I liked his new stuff which I haven't really followed but I knew a lot of the old bits because I watch Seinfeld so often.
Light-hearted. Enjoyable. Gave me some much needed laughs on some rough days.
That was absolutely brilliant, definitely a must read for not only Seinfeld enthusiasts but anyone that's needing a laugh. It's absolutely fantastic and classic Jerry Seinfeld, across five decades of comedy, his starting bits, which cover pretty much anything and everything across life, honestly I just love how Jerry can make even the most mundane thing even slightly hilarious! Absolutely brilliant!
This was just ok for me. I'm glad I listened to the audiobook because his delivery of the material is everything. Just reading this in book format would have been pretty boring I think. It's all pretty random. So it was fine. Didnt love it...didnt hate it...wouldn't read it again...but if you like Jerry Seinfeld then it might be worth it to listen to the audiobook.
Well, obviously get the Audiobook. It's basically 6+ hours of stand-up.
Is This Anything? ...no it is not!
If you seen Seinfeld, you've heard most of the jokes in this book...very little new material...like literally the Pilot & Keys joke is sooooo old....
He does have like 4/5 tidbits about his life but otherwise bland AF

As a pretty diligent fan, I’ve heard most of the jokes already. So, it’s a nice re-laugh, but that’s about It.
This would be more enjoyable as an introduction to Seinfeld.
