El Ășltimo de la serie con un final abierto y un poco soso. El caso es de espionaje pero no demasiado interesante.

This world feels real to me. I don't really have a lot of care for the characters. I don't miss them when they move on. I like that the characters change because that is what it would be like on a ship which helps keep the world real. Against all enemies follows the structure of the earlier books. Characters are primarily one and two dimensional, and that's okay. This isn't a character driven story, it's about procedures. A little action at the beginning of the book sets up the courtroom drama for the last part of the book. The primary characters move forward. there were hints at future stories, but it appears those won't be told. This, like the others, was a satisfying, light read. I'm going to miss this series.

An entertaining enough read that follows the exact same template as the previous books in the series; setup, event, trial, and a very brief wrap-up. Fortunately it adds a few more elements into the broad mix which made it a bit more interesting.

I was expecting it to go in one direction but afterwards I realised that the series had already effectively covered that scenario in the 3rd book. Still, things have evolved in each book, forced onwards by the lack of any major change. The stiff and formal dialogue remains the same, lots of repetition around the formula, and little in the way of surprise.

Despite all that I was happy enough to finish it as it's a lightweight read and the 'new' content in each book tends to be interesting enough to keep me going.

If you like John Grisham and space opera, this series is for you. I did find the repetition of boilerplate legal language and frequent reminders that that you must salute "the national flag" before you leave a spaceship tiresome, I am also sorry that the series seems to end in medias res. These quibbles aside, I found the series a nice beach read.

Very entertaining novel, though the sheer lawful goodness of the main character would probably have gotten more tiresome in more instalments.
