Whoa there Alpha!

Seems our little Demi is a bigger b@dass than we imagined...
Alpha Wolf takes awhile to get into her own skin and trust- but when she does! Look out! She loud, proud, and in charge.

“I need to be alpha. I couldn’t let these people down, my people. I needed to do both. Be both a Paladin and a city wolf.”

We don’t know more about Demi’s background and who she truly is. She has the ability to save an entire race of shifters. But in order to do so she has to sacrifice almost everything. This book is about Demi going into the Dark Woods -

And learning to trust herself and having the ability to survive so she can come back out as a strong alpha for her people, for her family, and for herself.

She was away from Sawyer for a very long time and they both have changed and very dramatic ways because of everything they had to go through alone. This book was crazy intense. Absolutely loved everything about it!

All these books to leave off on a cliffhanger. This one we find out the Sawyer has been in prison and it’s going to be up to Demi to step up and be alpha to both the city wolves and the Paladins - and rescue her husband.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Demi has left Sawyer to go to the Paladin and take her rightful place as Alpha to save them since without an Alpha they’ll slowly die. It was one of the hardest things to do but it was definitely the right thing to do. Her best friend Sage goes after her like she said she’d do if Demi didn’t show back up after a week. I love that even if Sawyer doesn’t like her choices that he just wants her safe so he argues for her to change her mind but when she doesn’t, he respects her choices and supports her whole heartily even if he’s going to worry about her. I loved how that when they were arguing through their bond about her quest that she needs to go on to save the Paladin from dying and being accepted as their Alpha, Sawyer tried to stop her from going and she said to him “Sawyer, I know you think I’m fragile, but I’m not. I can do this.” Sawyer just quirked his lips and replied with “My love, you’re about as fragile as a bomb.” And she thinks she should get that printed on a t-shirt. Lol he definitely knows what’s she’s like and loves her for it anyway. Demi knew that she could be away for awhile so he decides to marry Sawyer so the curse can be stopped.

Their wedding was a beautiful moment while they were at war. Their love was powerful enough to break the 1000 year old curse placed on Sawyer’s family. In order to be accepted as the Paladin Alpha Demi has to go on a quest into the Dark Woods by herself to find a hidden magical cave. Her biological father Run went on the same quest which took him 3 years as the cave only shows itself to those that it views as worthy. It takes Demi a full year to finish her quest and she not only comes out of the woods a changed women, the new Paladin Alpha and a mother to an adorable baby boy named Creek Curt Calloway-Hudson. Her best friend Sage kept her word to Demi and entered the Dark Woods to help her but the woods were trying to kill her for 6 months as only Alpha’s can step inside the Dark Woods so luckily Demi found her and helped her heal from the wounds a tree had inflicted on her. Sage helped Demi give birth when she went into labour. Their friendship grew so much stronger while going through everything, they’re now each other’s ride and dies.

Demi healed the Paladin lands but Wolf City is a waste land and all the creatures against the Wolves have declared it neutral ground. She finds out that the City Wolves currently don’t have a leader as both Sawyer and Walsh are in Magic City jail for killing the Vampire Prince who was part of the brutal gang r*pe of Demi when she was only 15 years old and Walsh killed the Vampire King during battle but mainly it was so he could go to jail with Sawyer so he wasn’t alone. Demi merges both packs and becomes their Alpha in Sawyer’s absence. Demi is even more kicka*se now after spending a year in the Dark Woods. This was definitely an emotional roller coaster of highs and lows. Demi has to make sure her pack is safe now they’ve fled the bunker in Wolf City and are living with the Paladin before finding a way to rescue the love of her life, her true mate and the father of her child Sawyer and his best friend and protector Walsh before Sawyer is sentenced to death in a weeks time for the Vampire Prince’s death. No pressure right? I’m looking forward to reading the final book to seeing how Demi’s rescue mission goes, but granted how everything that has happened in the last three books it’s not going to go smoothly but they’ll eventually be reunited. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
