I have read some incredible books but this. This absolute masterpiece. I know that it might only be me who thinks this is the most amazing rom com book ever written but THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING ROM COM EVER WRITTEN.

Now, I have special feels with this book because I could see myself fully in Luc. I have severe anxiety and it felt like I was reading my own thoughts when I was dating my now husband. And unfortunately, because of my messed up brain, I still sometimes struggle with those thoughts. And I know it's fictional but it still stands as a reminder that I'm not alone. Because no one who hasn't delt with that level of anxiety can write that level of anxiety. I love the representation and the older characters and communication and the running back to each other and the facing the scary stuff together and the love that surpasses any anxiety or trauma. It was so beautiful and I can't wait to read the next one and for the third book to be released. I don't even particularly read romance but this is one that I will definitely be re-reading when I'm feeling sad or happy or bored or in the need of a comforting story.

Well done, Alexis Hall. Well done.

4.5 stars. Really enjoyed this! It was lighthearted and fun. Even funny enough, at times, to make me audibly laugh!
