The Ghost of Gosain Bagan is a piece of fiction that has been able to find a balanced mix of fantasy, adventure, supernatural, and humour. It's not a lengthy book, yet the characters are portrayed perfectly. It has light-hearted humour and magical elements, which are followed by a linear narrative, making it a perfect book to be read by anyone without any age restriction. I liked the book even more, as I like reading stories in which supernatural spirits are shown as friends to other living characters rather than their foes. Such kinds of stories show a kind of harmony between characters from two different worlds, which is completely different from the real world, in which one individual isn't in harmony with the other due to their race, caste, gender, social status, and for many other nonsensical reasons.
