Their is the kind of book that reminds me why I keep coming back to Patterson and his Alex Cross series.
Almost unimaginable type of serial killer and a chilling chase for Cross to get his man. A murderer who kills entire families in their homes. A detective who has not lost his edge as well as an author and this story proves it.
I’m not sure the plot twists really catch me by surprise anymore but then after 30 Det. Cross novels written I think that’d be a tall order.

It's been a hot minute since I've read an Alex Cross book, the last few I read were a bit underwhelming, but this one was good and kept me coming back for more

A quick read, I had read the previous book in the series, so it was interesting to see how things developed. And apparently there's another one coming, cuz the ending left things open.
This was actually a really interesting Cross book, maybe my favorite one in recent years. There's still the super corny family aspect and lack of "seasoning" but it was a fun read. And we finally know who M is....Patterson might turn up next year for the next Cross novel.
