I have mixed feelings about this one. It's billed as a romantic comedy, but all the supposed comedy stems from the fact that the main character has some high functioning form of autism. The author oscillates from implying that the main character doesn't have a clue about most things to suggesting that he does, and just hides behind pretending not to understand. I think the most damaging thing to the story is that so many of the main characters go along with the belief that because his brain and behavior is atypical, Don must not be able to love - and even that is played for laughs, a little bit. I think the story at it's core isn't terrible and the characters are endearing, but I'm uncomfortable with the fact that the plot leans on Don's autism as hard as an Amelia Bedelia book relies on her misunderstanding.

I've read so many heavy books lately, and this was the perfect break from that! An ideal summer read! I loved it!

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion is about Don Tillman, who decides he needs a wife and sets about solving the “wife problem” in his own logical and analytical way. Along comes Rosie. Rosie does not meet many of the criteria Don identifies for his ideal mate, but there's something about Rosie...A sweet, funny romance with endearing characters and a message that "different" does not mean "less;" it just means "different."

such an easy read. it's like watching a chick flick in the 2000s. i like both FL and ML and I learned a lot.

Very funny, sweet story that would make a great movie. It is rare that i laugh out loud while reading, but it happened again and again as i read this book. Has a light feeling but there is real depth to Don, the protagonist. Highly recommended.

Quirky and funny look at love and science and finding your match!
