Monica McCarty's books are so well written and researched (the historical tidbits/corrections to creative license at the end of each book are always so interesting). I also love that the plots within each book of this series (love, adventures, etc) are never formulaic. Highly recommend to lovers of highland romance/historical fiction. I swear you'll get all of the bodice-ripping fun and learn something along the way!

3,5 ⭐️ Aslında gayet keyifle okudum. Ama ana karakterlerin sürekli tekrarlanan düşünceleri ve sözleri sıktı biraz. Yine de seriye devam edebilirim diye düşünüyorum. Diğer karakterlerin maceralarını merak ettim.
I was looking for escapism, and what's better for an escape than a lusty highland romance? Many things, turns out. The heroine is insipid and the hero stoic and Too Hardened To Love, and I felt rather ashamed of myself at the end. I do enjoy a good romance sometimes, but this wasn't it, at least not for me.
