Terminator 2: Judgment Day is the novelization of the movie of the same name. Once again the novelization adds so much more to the movie, either scenes that never were or enhances others with more backstory. And because it’s the same author as the first Terminator novel, it has continuity in scenes he created or explanations that began in just the first book. The first three chapters don’t even exist in the movie and they were an excellent way to start the book! We got to see the future from John’s point of view this time, see his thoughts and feelings as they win the war against Skynet but still must send Reese back to 1984 and then a Terminator back to save John as a boy.

There were so many little details that were in the film but their added explanation here had me furthering my understanding immensely. Such as the locations of Skynet, how only the countries above the equator really felt the nuclear apocalypse, and more of seeing how different this Terminator is from the last, when he truly is able to learn, it’s fascinating. There are also some differences you’ll eventually note, things that James Cameron wanted for the movie but studio interference hindered, but they can’t stop them in book form!

If you’re a Terminator fan and enjoyed the second movie, then you will love this book. And the second book, unlike the first, is much easier and cheaper to get your hands on! I highly recommend!

This was pretty much the same as the movie script (which was fine with me as I love the movie), with a few extra scenes that didn't make it to the theatres. It was like watching the extras on the DVD and seeing the deleted scenes, I kept going "Oh, that didn't happen in the movie."
