This is the third book I have read about a man keeping a woman as a prisoner. Strange Sally Diamond made me physically nauseated reading it (5 stars). That’s Not My Name was foreboding, I felt stressed waiting for things to go bad (4 stars). With this book, I didn’t feel any tension. Maybe it was because I did not care about Emily’s POV’s at all since it consisted mostly of her thirsty over a man.
