Whewww I usually never read thrillers but I’m definitely going to read more after this. This book was SO well-paced. The definition of a page-turner. Made me feel sick and was so scary.

This book really frustrated me. The premise sounded really interesting and I was even fine with the second person narration. I found Emily's chapters to be intolerable. She was creepily obsessed with Aiden since she was a teenager (and he a grown man) to the point of breaking into his house but it didn't feel like there was a /point/. There was no repercussions for her or "Rachel," there was no plot twist that she was "crazy," she wasn't even antagonistic towards "Rachel," it felt like it was there just to be there. Emily's chapters just felt really cringey to me.

I was also super frustrated that we never got a final chapter for Cecilia! I want to know what she's thinking about "Rachel" kidnapping her and about everything with her dad.

Clemence Michallon's "The Quiet Tenant" left me with a heavy heart. The narrative unfolds through the perspectives of two women, each with a unique connection to the same man. One woman's haunting story involves her abduction and captivity by a sinister individual, while the other woman is tentatively opening herself up to a new relationship with a charming and softly-spoken local hero. The chilling twist is that both women are unknowingly referring to the same man.

This novel really made me shudder as it vividly portrays how little we often know about our neighbors and the unsettling realities that can lurk right under our noses.
