J'aimerais en savoir plus sur la manière dont le monde en est arrivé à son état actuel, comment la magie fonctionne en détails. Cependant le livre, pourtant recoupant certains parties des contes préférés de l'autrice, et semblant être adapté aux ados, contient énormément de scènes de violence graphique. Cela ne me semble pas cohérent, ou du moins pas bien géré.

 The mystery and plot twists are pretty intriguing and fun but the writing is kindof cheesy and the author really over uses similes. The conclusion is also infodump-y.

personally I would never forgive them for any of that

I don't like being manipulated even when I know it's happening so I didn't love this. I was still rooting for the MCs, and I can see why it gets so much praise with all the lavish world building, but I was hoping (foolishly, I know) that the ending would be more interesting.

I don't think the author thought this through, like everything looks great on paper when you focus on ideas but then as a reader you realize nothing is working here. Initially (around 60% in) I thought I'm gonna rate it 2 stars but it got even worse with the ending so I won't be coming back to read the rest of the serie.
