I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I never read this kind of a lighter chick lit contemporary books as I usually find the silly and boring. This book had great characters and although the "plot" was not the most original or involved, I really like the journey of the characters. First off, it was nice to read a book about regular people with regular jobs, thank you for saving us from another gazillioner. I absolutely loved loved the representation of a childfree choice and lifestyle. It's boring and predictable to always have the cringey baby epilogue, especially when kids are not in the cards but oh last minute change of heart or miracle happens. After all, we can't possibly have a HEA without babies...sigh. loved how the ending was handed, it read real. The only negative was the length, I thought it dragged a bit in the middle. Highly recommend to those who enjoy contemporary romance RHs

I get why she has... issues, but the main female character is so bloody annoying with the 'fake fake fake' (literally) for a good chunk of the book. It made me almost DNF. I pushed through, which was nice because I got the pay out of the clash with the mother near the end but ugh.
