Very low smut and show moving. The character development only focused on fmc

What a fab read! While I hate Jamie's mum for the way she treated her. I like that the demands she put on Jamie lead her to Brock, Hunter and Hayden. They were so good for her and treated her the way she should have been, from the start.
I loved the scene at the engagement party, so happy she got what she deserved.
Can't wait to read Millie's story-there has to be one, right?

Another wonderful book from Sam Hall !!

I really enjoyed this book ! I love a good why-choose romance, and this one has best friends brothers too. I loved Jamie and her guys. Jamie is such a strong character, she has to be to deal with her horrible family. I would love to read about Millie and her firefighters !

4.5⭐️

This is Sam Hall's second Contemporary Romance RH and she's definitely finding her stride with this take on best friend's brother fake dating trope.

Borrowing My Bestie's Brothers is the story of Jamie who is trying to live her best life working as a car mechanic but her mother seems to think she knows what's best for Jamie and has no qualms about telling Jamie "how it is". In order to get her mom off her back, Jamie makes up 3 boyfriends which would have worked out if her parents weren't in town for her brother's upcoming wedding. Her bestie rides to the rescue and asks her brothers to help a friend out while the parental units are in town. Only these boys have been hiding a few things and are more than happy to help Jamie out with predicament.

This story sucked me in from the start. Jamie and her upbringing tugged on my heartstrings and I was thankful that she had Millie and the rest of the McDonalds to show what a family should be like. The pace and the writing kept me interested the whole time and I didn't want to put the book down. I loved how the guys were able to read the room and stand up for Jamie and support her as she navigated various get togethers with her family. It was also fun to watch the guys who had never been any anything but monogamous relationships figure out how to make it all work. It was a quick and witty read that had me giggling throughout the story. The best part of the story was that everyone was on the same page with regards to marriage and kids and that didn't change at the end of the book.

I really hope Millie gets her book next!

Jaime has an overbearing, toxic mother that has impacted her ability to both communicate effectively and participate in a healthy adult relationship. Growing up in that environment forced her to spend a majority of her time with her best friend...and her best friend's three older brothers. As an adult, to fool her mother into believing that she's already in a relationship and therefore doesn't need her nagging, her best friend suggests she dates her brothers. All three of them. Only to find that they've been pining for her for years.

I liked this book and would recommend it. I wasn't a fan of Jaime's hang-ups with the guys but who wouldn't behave that way with the way her family has treated and continues to treat her. She's able to set some firm, healthy boundaries eventually that were a long time coming. I really love the dynamic that they're able to establish! Did I mention there were twins?

I enjoyed reading this book but found it a bit longer than it probably needed to be. I understand the author was making it so Jamie slowly gave in to the brothers, really showing her reluctance and such, but I feel it dragged a bit TOO much. There were also places that punctuation shouldn't have been or were weirdly placed, in my opinion. That all aside, it was still a good story.

Jamie has had a crush on her bestie's three older brothers for years, but didn't think they'd ever see her as anything but their little sister's annoying friend. Meanwhile, the three Mcdonald brothers have liked HER for years as well, but they didn't think she'd see them that way, not to mention their sister had a "dating ban" in place on her. When she needed fake boyfriends, they jumped at the chance, hoping to show how good things could actually be if they were together. Essentially, it was only fake for Jamie, but no one else. When she found out about their feelings, she ran, but they convinced her to still give them a shot.

We also see (as well as the McDonald brothers) how horrible she's had it in her family. It was a reason why Jamie spent so much time with their family over the years. Their family was nothing like hers. At least one of her brothers hates her, the rest of the men in her family don't understand her, and her mother is the worst. She puts her down, doesn't understand how any good man could like her when she's a mechanic and dresses 'like a man,' she's insistent on her getting married and having kids, despite Jamie having no intentions on any such things... with the McDonald's behind her, she finally finds the strength within to be herself and not do what's expected of her.

The ending is pretty satisfactory in how everything turns out. I'm not about to jump into the next one involving her best friend and the guys' sister, Millie, but I may read it in the future!

I really enjoyed jumping into this contemporary world Hall had begun to build. Jamie is a sweet FMC with a childhood that is highly relatable due to her narcissistic mother. When she finds herself in a tight spot with three fake boyfriends and a mother determined to have a wedding, Jamie's best friend Millie comes to the rescue in the form of three hot brothers. These men take the time to teach Jamie how healthy relationships work. I enjoyed every moment Janie had with each of the brothers as she learns that it's okay to have someone care about her. Hall is a master at giving us delicious spice and all of the warm feelings you can't get enough of so of course Borrowing My Bestie's Brothers gives us all of that and then some. I truly hope we get more stories from this world in the future!
