I'm loving this series - probably my favorite so far. I realized I would have claimed this to be my favorite book of this series, but I had written that about one of the earlier ones - and I haven't even read them all yet!

Early on in this book, Laric and Catori meet and have an instant attraction to each other. They are both thrown into an intense, life or death situation, that immediately puts them together and changes the course of both their lives. I loved Laric and Catori together! This book had it all - humor, steam, action and romance. I can't wait for the next in this series!

I received an Advance Reader Copy and have voluntarily left an honest review.

LLV switched things up a bit with this book, and I LOVE it! This book is fast-paced and starts with a bang right from the start. However, Laric keeps things close to the vest, and Catori's firework constantly needs to be around others.

Laric has been a bit mysterious in the Souls Chapel series. He is Lynn's son, but not a lot is known about him outside of the list of traumas he has faced. No one has tamed him, but the second he meets Cat, he is drawn to her. Cat's first time seeing Laric is hilarious, and their meeting is truly fate. This book starts fast and moves into overdrive. I loved every word and am always happy to be back with the Souls Chapel gang.

Last Day of My Life !!), j'avais hyper hâte !!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was supposed to make this book last a little longer but yesterday I had trouble sleeping so I finished it around 2:30 am ><
AND I REGRET NOTHING !!
(well except the alarm clock this morning ><)
I have to admit, I was impatiently awaiting Laric's story which intrigued me a lot from the start (his somewhat mysterious past but also the identity of his father !!) and when I saw that he was going to be with Catori (whose parents are Jack and Winter from Last Day of My Life !!), I couldn't wait !!
Their love story begins in the most total drama (shooting from the start, I love it =D) and I loved the way they complemented each other despite their differences (Catori made me laugh a lot, especially her inability to lie xD It was so cute !!)
I think that's the most surprising thing about this series of books, the fact that the cover seems to scream "erotic romance" and yes it does but at the same time there is a super cute and fun side to them that gives them a unique style (LOVE the wedding scene at the end x)) (little soft spot for Laric's dog <3)
The plot was a little light again : I would have liked it to be more developed, I found the conclusion with the kidnapping of the little girl a little too easy and the story of Catori's stalker a little unrealistic (already because I don't see how Catori or her parents could have let the situation get to this stage and especially how he managed to disappear so well when they had Jack, Winter and Hunt on his heels and finally the sort of shooting in the hospital !) not to mention the drama with Laric's ex who had so much potential ...
In short, a sexy and fun read to read without moderation =)
I am so excited to be getting Laric’s book but then to discover that Catori is his woman is almost too much to stand! So to give you a little background, Laric is Lynn’s son. We found that out in the very first book of this series. They don’t have much of a relationship or at least it is strained a bit.
From the moment these two lay eyes on one another the chemistry flies off the pages. I mean it is so hot and tangible that you can feel it burning through the pages. We could not have asked for two better characters and if there was ever a character to have made the wait worth it then it is Laric. Both have exes that cause all sorts of drama. Right from the beginning of this book the drama begins and just doesn’t let up.
I will say that I love Zak in this book although there are times that I am waiting for someone to just punch him. He would deserve it but he is still awesome. The fact that Catori had no problem putting him in his place had me laughing out loud.
There were a couple of things I wished we got more of in this book. First, Zakelina! In the beginning she is there and she tells Catori that Laric is her best friend. We met this little girl in an earlier book and she was hurt badly. I would have loved to see more of her in this book since she had such a connection with Laric. I get why we don’t but I would have loved to see her more.
I also would have enjoyed if maybe Silas had made an appearance. After all he is connected to Catori through Adam (Silas is his father in-law) but then I would have also liked to see Ghost since he is Lynn’s nephew. Again, I understand why we didn’t really see them. I mean you can’t add in every single character.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. This review was originally posted on Wickedly Romance
Finally, we get Laric's story. We met him in the SWAT 2.0 series and knew of his work with former service dogs. So not only do we really get to know him in the Souls Chapel Revenants, but we get to see his relationship develop with Lynwood.
I knew the story with Catori would be fun. Daughter of Jack and Winter from Freebirds, it's been stated more than once that Catori and her brother Adam were wild. The fights between these two when they were children were epic. And the brotherly/sisterly antics continue in this book, much to my delight.
Cat and Laric's story has a heck of a beginning that sets the tone of the book. It fits perfectly in the Souls Chapel family and just continues to make this one of my favorite LLV series. I know we are getting near the end of this series, but I hope we will see these people in the future. We have had glimpses of Lynwood for several series and the same with Catori and Laric. We can hope. Thanks, Lani, for continuing the bring the great stories about the Souls Chapel Revenants.
Another great book by Lani Lynn Vale. This book will get you hooked from the very beginning! It was a very fast paced read, I pretty much read it in one sitting. I found myself cracking up at times throughout this book. There was no long drawn out unnecessary drama. I wasn’t ready for this one to end! I would recommend this book!
Received a arc for a honest review.
Inmate of the Month is seventh book in the Souls Chapel Revenants MC series by Lani Lynn Vale. I am loving this series and we are finally getting Laric's story! He's been a mystery for a few books now. Recently finding out he's Lynn's son and not knowing how to handle that situation. He's gotten to be good friends with the guys and when he saves Catori's life the first time he sees her. But it's not the first time she's seen him. Oh boy. He's the man she saw in that ahem, video where she couldn't stop watching. Now he's going to protect her and soon he never wants to let her go. Catori never expected her stalker to take things this far, but now she's shacked up with Laric, so it’s not all bad. After a few days with him, she doesn't ever want to leave. She really likes his friends, who are more like family and he fits in with her family perfectly. Is it too soon for declaration of love and forever? Heck no! I loved Laric and Catori. I laughed out loud, loved the tension and am looking forward to the next one!
