I've never been in love. I've never had my heart broken before. But this book, for some unknown reason, made me feel what it's like to get your heart broken. As i was reading every word, I really felt the emotion that came with it. I'll forever adore Iain and his words. He simply is amazing ❤️

I really enjoyed this book. Every entry gives me something to think about. I just wish I read it in smaller chunks. I had a tendency to read a lot in one sitting and I think that didn't let my brain acknowledge all my responses to each entry.
My advice is read this book over a long time, maybe one or two of the entries per day. Take some time to enjoy it and digest it and you will love it

Okay so I took my time with this one and read it over a few days. My initial reaction upon finishing it was indecision over whether this was a 3 or 4 star book because some poems left me cold whilst some touched nerves I didn't even know I had. I turned the last page over to find I'm hungry for more. I want to be truly understood in just a few lines over and over again. In the past, I've condemned poetry and even ridiculed it but I feel a bit silly now because I'm experiencing the feelings and the connection I had mocked. This is probably quite rambly but I am quite drunk (and therefore quite honest?).
