that ending made this book SO MUCH better than what I originally thought it would be. i just didn't like how dumb oak was and wren seemed so different in this book vs. the one with her POV. but those last three chapters were too intriguing to not give this at least 4 stars🤧

This book switched to Oak’s POV, just when Wren’s POV was getting interesting. The plot was fine but I hate when so much conflict could be avoided if they just TALK to one another. Oak is like “I should tell him I’m not plotting against him!” But then never does, for no good reason. The ending seemed to leave the door open for another Cardan and Jude book though so maybe I’d read that.
