I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I'm not even embarrassed about it. It has delightful banter, fabulous dynamics between families and friends, boatloads of longing, and a lovely happily ever after. Huzzah and hooray!

I loved the beginning. Daphne and Stephen had great chemistry and banter. Daphne was a smart protagonist, which is always refreshing. I liked that it was fast paced and writing was engaging. The world of bridgerton was fun. Then they got married and Daphne was no longer smart for some reason and was so virginal and clueless that it was frustrating to deal with. I don’t like the virgin trope and extremely experienced person, especially when the virgin girl someone orgasms first try.
I did not like how Daphne did a form of rape on Stephen by refusing to let him pull out or use birth control because she wanted kids. That ruined the book for me.
