Une vraie déception

hmmm maybe 2.5/5? idk i think i recognized this was a silly lil cozy read, but also maybe my expectations were a little too high.

didn't really love the diary style of the book actually because it didn't feel very believable or organic to me in that way. like would someone really write dialogue in their journal? even if it was for "research"? also with the diary style of writing, there were so many "I" statements. it got kinda tiring.

and emily as a character is kinda annoying (lol) i'm sorry. plus, i didn't really get the relationship development between her and wendell. wow i sound so incredibly harsh right now but maybe i was just really hoping this book would get me out of my reading slump, and it didn't haha.
