This book was an utterly enchanting, cozy fantasy. It was like reading a mixture of Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling between the banter of Emily and Bambleby and this world building that went above and beyond with footnotes referencing other faerie works. I just found it astounding that someone can write like that.

Emily and Bambleby's relationship was the highlight for me in this book. The dynamic was so entertaining. I could have read chapters of their conversations only. Add to that Emily's stunted social abilities and she became so endearing.

The only reason this was 4 stars for me is that it was a book I could put down. I didn't feel "attached" to it so much that I wanted to spend every minute of the day with the book. Other than that, I have zero complaints
