If you like fae stories, this is a very well written book. I liked the perspective of it being a journal or field notes. It was a bit long for me. The audiobook was tough to listen and rather long. Because of the dense lore and British accent I couldn’t listen any faster than 1x speed, so I think that’s part of what made the first half of this book drag a bit for me.

I really liked this book, but I’m not dying to read the second right away. I like it but I didn’t love it so that’s why I rated 3.75/5.
