More telling than showing. Got this far because I was promised a shadow daddy. Then our FMC mentioned her inner goddess reacting to the MMC (like in Fifty Shades of Grey), and I had to nope out of there.

Reading this book was a wild ride. You actually go through all the emotions the characters are feeling and the interpersonal development and connection between the characters are just chef’s kiss. The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is because it just felt a bit slow progression wise sometimes. Other than that, this was an absolute hit.
