I loved the attitude from sage from the get-go, you can feel the relationships she's built and humour.
Spoiler - I can't look at jelly anymore without a giggle!
I had zero clue as to the plot it gave no hints and was surprised a few times while reading.
I'd make a deal with Von any time π₯
Ezra is my favourite character. I love a quirky, crazy lady π€£
All in all I would recommend this book it was a very good read and I am eagerly awaiting book 2 after that last page π«’π«

I really enjoyed this book! It did take me a little while to connect with Sage at the beginning although the sibling dynamic was great. After we met Von, however, I absolutely fell in love with the sass she had and the banter in their relationship. I loved twists and turns which kept me in suspense and the quirky and sarcastically fun aspect of the story was a nice balance to the more serious themes throughout.
I thought the world-building and the magical and political systems were very interesting, and I am intrigued to see how these develop in subsequent books.
I loved the ending and can't believe I didn't guess who Sage is, I did get an inkling about Von, however ;).I am also glad that Sage saw Kaleb at the end and there is potential for him to be involved later. I am really looking forward to the next book! Can't wait! - I was fortunate to receive this book as an ARC from the author
