I don’t know if I had just hyped this one up so much in my head or what, but I really did not like it. maybe I just don’t like a love triangle. I dunno. just hated nate’s character basically the whole time and honestly didn’t really like abbey either

3.5 stars. When I started this one, I wasn’t sure this book was going to be for me. I felt like it read very young (which makes sense cause the FMC was only 19) and I expected a lot of immature back and forth. Thankfully it changed for me about halfway through. I loved the mystery part of this book and would def read more books with that element in it from Elle. There was some back and forth between the two love interests but she chose the guy I liked best at the end. And I feel like the reasoning behind it made the most sense. Overall it was a decent read about growing up, following your heart, and the value of friendships.

I had the best time reading this! I enjoyed all of the characters and I was actually a big fan of the love triangle in this one!

I went into this book with good intentions lol, but I ended up skimming through it from about 30% onwards because it was kind of boring. I really don’t like love triangle tropes, and this book seriously solidified that with me. I couldn’t deal with the main characters indecisiveness and I felt she was just kind of young and dumb. She annoyed me. I wasn’t attached to any of the characters either which didn’t help. I didn’t feel that any of the guys really had a leg to stand on and they were both so boring. Plus, she thought she was in love with them both and in the next chapter she decides she isn’t. She just confused and annoyed me a lot.

* love triangle f/m/m
* Secret relationship
* There is spice
* Fast paced
Abbey moves to London for a travel abroad program, leaving her rockstar dad in the states to worry about her. Instead of bunking with 3 college girls like she assumed she’d be staying with it then out she’s rooming with 3 exceedingly hot men with accents, now all she has to do is keep this mixup from her dad and not fall into bed with her flatmate.
This is the first book outside of the off campus series I’ve read from Elle Kennedy and expected the pull I got while reading those books where you fall for the story and the characters and this fell a bit flat.
Abbey’s personality is library because in every other aspect she’s average as she likes to remind the reader quite often. Lee is the gay best friend who I loved but it felt stereotypical, he falls in love with different men every other week, he’s her stylist, and will gossip at any given opportunity. Jack is the shirtless rugby playing Australian. Jamie is a nobleman of some sort and sleeps with a different girl every night. Nate is bassist who’s dark and mysterious but never lets anyone in.
Con
* Nate cheated any you can’t argue with the fact.
* The book is only in Abbeys POV so you really can’t tell what the hell is going though Jack and Nate’s mind when it comes to abbey.
