For some reason, this book has just stuck in my mind through the years. I reread it a little while ago, and it's really nothing special, just for whatever reason, it has stuck with me.
Is Your Mama a Llama? is a classic children's book written in 1989. I recognized this book from my own childhood. My mom would read it to me as a bedtime story. Is Your Mama a Llama? is a pattern/predictable children's book about a young llama trying to figure out what a llama is. He asks his friends if there momma is a llama, to which most of them reply no. Is Your Mama a Llama? is a wonderful pattern recognition book for children. The author uses rhyme and page turners in order to make the story a guessing game. The illustrations are beautifully drawn and really contribute to the story. Is Your Mama a Llama? is a classic children's picture book and will remain a classic for years to come. Is Your Mama a Llama? is ideally for read aloud to preschool aged children or kindergarteners.
Lovely illustrations and rhyming book. The reader has to guess who the mama is, which was fun for my 2yo (if a little over her head, because the animals featured are a bit more obscure than run-of-the-mill toddler books).

Cute animal and rhyming book with pretty nice art and an interesting choice of animals. Kind of an update on Are You My Mother but without the panic. And yet it didn't really grab me - but I'm guessing it would be a fun reread (over and over again).
Kellogg's art is as eye-catching as ever in this little book, and Guarino's concept makes for a lovely guessing game for kids and their parents. Some of the attempts at rhyme come off a bit more clumsy than they could be, but the book overall makes for something memorable.
Cute. Illustrations show there age a bit, I think.
