Honestly.. this is a 3.5 for me. Mostly because it just feels kind of predictable.
Here were my predictions:
⁃ whats-his-face is working with the Node people and wants revenge on his father and his wife - TRUE
⁃ Freya has the Blood of two gods - ALSO TRUE
⁃ whats-his-face heard the prophecy and had more of an understanding of it. Hence his unwillingness to be a part of it - KINDA TRUE BUT ALSO PENDING
⁃ The oath that freya made has a loophole, it didnt account for the blood that runs through the son's veins - PENDING
⁃ son will be the king from the prophecy - PENDING.
We'll have to see if the other theories prove to be true as well. I might just pick up book 2 when it comes out to see...

This book was absolutely amazing!! I loved every minute of it and it reminded me so much of the TV show Vikings so it was easy to imagine everything.

this got me hooked from page 1
the plot kept changing and changing, up until the middle of the book when it kinda got stuck but that ENDING my god
love Freya's character, loved how she went from protecting to realizing her family only used her , but never betraying her values

Amazing. I loved the main character Freya , she was so realistic, the way the author describes her emotions her fears , her thoughts. I loved it .
