Again, super icky at times but I really like ghosts. I think I just need to find a non-problematic ghost story, but until then I'll probably just read these.

Is this happening or are these two slightly less than a full glass of sanity ? I have no idea. Crazy or not I am addicted to this wickedly adventurous couple.
Off they go to film a something extra in New Mexico. There is an extra twist of them pretending to be a married couple. (Tee hee hee, finally they are in bed together. Sorry it's just not what what you think. Anyway, this ranch out in the middle of dusty NM is haunted or something by some Native type boogy that causes all kinds of hurt. They fumble, she falls a lot, they bicker and they flirt. it's wonderful. There is a moment of pure vaaaa-voom in a tree that is not to be missed.

Just to be clear, I don't like you Perry.

So it's safe to say that I'm not going to be very comfortable around animals for awhile, cause that was a bit intense, especially crazy birds trying to tear Perry's eyes out.
I'm in love with Perry and Dex, their adventures and their bickering, but also the moments when they're both sweet and honest with each other.
I think I'm addicted to this series and I'm off to read the next one.

This book had a few more editing issues than the last one did. I even saw a few words crossed out, like the editor intended to remove them, but then missed them.

But the story was really good. We got to know more about Dex, but what I really want to know it more about Perry and her drug history and the things she used to see. And about Dex's parents.

I wasn't as crazy about this one. I think it was because I didn't get as spooked. Somehow the things they encounter here were less terrifying to me. And I am getting frustrated with Dex. He's a terrible flirt, and I cannot help but feel like Perry needs to let go him in her heart. Don't get me wrong, the angst between the two is so palpable it's almost suffocating. But I really, really, really, need something more to happen.

My only complaint with the series is her use of the term "motorbike." Do people in the US really say motorbike rather than motorcycle or just bike? I find it so uncool for a cool character to hop on her motorbike.

This book was SO much better than the first! It took place almost entirely on the shoot of their second webisode and the action and mystery completely drew me in. I’m feeling more optimistic for the series, and excited to move on to the third instalment.

The skinwalkers really threw everything at our leading couple! And for some reason almost NONE of it was caught on film. I don’t know why part annoyed me so much. Instead of investing in a better camera or paranormal gear, maybe get a go-pro and never turn it off. That way all the insane paranormal stuff that happens to them can be useful for their series!

I still have a lot of complicated feelings about Perry and Dex. Perry pretty much decides that Dex is the love of her life (after knowing him a month), and their relationship deepens. Trust is formed, and they trauma bond through the insanity that’s unfolding around them.

I like Dex a lot more after finishing Red Fox, but that’s due mostly to co-reading the corresponding chapters in The Dex Files. Understanding what’s going on in Dex’s head (especially when he’s acting asshole-ish or aloof in the main series) helps me feel more connected to him.

I’m leaving Red Fox liking our leading couple a lot more but knowing they both need to grow and mature a lot before they are able to be together!

I’m settling at a 4/5⭐️ for this one! I was between 3.5 and 4, but the action is really what put it over the edge!

I first read [b:Red Fox|11710500|Red Fox (Experiment in Terror, #2)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602889068l/11710500._SY75_.jpg|19191181] 6 years ago, but decided to re-read the entire Experiment in Terror series after finding [b:Came Back Haunted|55618050|Came Back Haunted (Experiment in Terror #10)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602886940l/55618050._SY75_.jpg|86734082] (Ada's story) in a bookshop.
I knew I enjoyed this series, but I had forgotten how much I loved Perry and Dex as characters, and how addictive and creepy the stories are.
I had rated Red Fox 3.5 stars on first read, but on re-reading it (and knowing what is coming), I have revised my rating to 4.5 stars.
