I'm not sure what I expected this to be, but it wasn't this. I find any interpretation of dreams or myths or stories in general that seem to insist that there is only one interpretation of that thing quite dubious. I just didn't feel it was revealing anything new or particularly interesting to me. I might have another go at reading it in the future but I've let it go for now.
Me es difícil calificar este libro. Antes de leerlo, me encontraba con grandes expectativas; no sabía exactamente a qué me enfrentaba, pero sí creía que era un libro para mujeres, ojalá feminista, que hablara de cómo liberarse, y de las consecuencias de la sociedad patriarcal en el retraímiento de las mujeres. En parte sí fue así, pero al mismo tiempo, no tanto. Me encontré con un vocabulario demasiado DEMASIADO, no hay otra palabra. Ni siquiera es pretencioso, es que es, in fact, de ma si a do. Había mucho lenguaje técnico, que, creo yo, solo podría entender una psicóloga psicoanalista jungiana. Even me, una lincenciada en psicología, tuve dificultades con entender el mensaje, y el libro en su totalidad. Y creo que esa es la razón de por qué me demoré tanto en leerlo. Don't get me wrong, habían partes interesantes, y que realmente cobraron sentido, como cuando dice "aprobar solo una clase de belleza equivale en cierto modo a no prestar atención a la naturaleza", y " las mujeres han muerto mil muertes antes de cumplir los 20 años", pero creo que el lenguaje dificulta mucho que el libro sea leído. Por otro lado, a veces sentía que podía ser un poco sexista y transfóbico.

I just don’t have time for the intense/reflective reading this requires. I’m trying a slow read (with Lisa Marie Rankin) but with my other slow reads this is taking up all my text reading time & I just want to be able to read other things. It’s interesting but takes a lot of thought. There’s no unabridged audio. So I’d like to try this again in 2026 when I’m not doing 2 other slow reads.
Es un libro que todas las mujeres deberíamos leer para entender mejor el poder de nuestra intuición, como prestarle más atención y sacar lo mejor de nosotras mismas.
