This one lost its way a little near the end
Spoiler-I had a hard time buying that the two girls having a crush on the same boy would result in a semi-friendly competition with her friend backing off as soon as she saw he was interested in the MC-
, but overall, a fun summery beach read.

This is a charming and adorable romance that will make your heart sing. West takes readers on a delightful journey with Kate Bailey as she navigates the ups and downs of love, friendship, and finding her own voice. Set against the backdrop of a podcasting class, Kate finds herself swept up in a whirlwind of emotions when she becomes the host of a popular advice show. As she grapples with giving advice to others, Kate also discovers the courage to follow her own heart.

With its lovable characters, witty banter, and heartwarming moments, "Listen To Your Heart" is a feel-good read that will leave you with a smile on your face. West's writing is sweet and engaging, drawing readers in from the very first page and keeping them hooked until the end. Whether you're a fan of romance or simply looking for a story that will warm your heart, this book is sure to delight. So sit back, relax, and let "Listen To Your Heart" sweep you off your feet into a world of love and laughter.

Favourite quote: “I wondered if life was about facing fears. Sometimes we overcame them and sometimes they overcame us. On the days we won, we had every right to celebrate.”

If there is one thing Kassie West does right it’s mystery! I re-read this book and I genuinely was confused in the beginning on whether I remembered who “looking for love” was or not! It felt like every chapter i went back and forth on which guy I thought he was! But by chapter 18 it’s OBVIOUS!! Special shout-out to the ferris wheel for being that pivot point in the plot

This book was probably one of the best I've read from this author lately. I wasn't really sure where all of the characters were going, I was surprised by the direction Kate Bailey's life took. Not immediately sure we reach boy's attention was focused, I think everyone was able to overcome what each perceived as inescapable obstacles. Kate really grew as a character who saw that there was more than one path available in her future. Casting old grudges aside and seeing other others problems more clearly, Kate's Awakening isn't overnight or sugar-coated. One of the best parts of the book is the open ending for the Raider to ponder the future of each of the characters you will grow to love.
