Quinn & Vance
So… Both Saxon& Eden know my feelings surrounding Quinny’s lip sweater… I’ll just pretend it doesn’t exist rather than penalise the whole book because the caterpillar hasn’t found a leaf to crawl onto yet XD
We’ve met Ayri Quinn (Don’t call him Ayri… it rhymes with fairy and as a gay male, well, there’s not a lot of fond memories linked to that word association game) in other books with his best friend and partner in crime, ray of sunshine extraordinaire, Little D, Asher Dalton.
The last time we saw the pair was in the previous Puckboys book Foolish Puckboys with Aleks &Gabe where amongst other things the collective had the truly *inspired* idea to remove Quincy’s lip sweater which lead to Alexs& Gabe’s meet-cute.(But sadly not the loss of the 70’s stache)
Quinn and Vance’s meet cute isn’t quite so.. explosive let’s say, as it comes by the way of an adductor strain, an injury which places Vance’s hands a little too close to Quinn’s ‘business’, but Quinn’s found a perfect way of fixing it, until one night Asher tempts him out dancing and he re-injures himself, leading to Vance taking ‘Babysitting duties’ to keep him from even moving while the tear heals.
Refreshingly there’s no drama between the men and the club or their team mates when they reveal their relationship. It was really good to read a book for once where the drama wasn’t about if they would be kicked out of the league.
If I had to give a one word review for this book, I’d have to steal one of Quinny’s and say that it’s *Ferfect*

Easily my favorite of the series so far. Ayri was the CUTEST and I loved getting to know his character more.

Low angst MM hockey romance
3.5 ⭐ rounded up!
Sweet and funny low angst hockey MM romance.
Not my favorite of the series, but I really enjoyed Vance's character. The reappearance of the Queer Collective was some of the best bits.

This is the perfect book to get you out of a reading slump
I absolutely ADORED our main characters!
Quinn is seriously the cutest bumbling cinnamon roll of a main character. I really enjoyed the sweet nature of Quinn and Vance's relationship & that they didn't have to sneak around the whole time they were together.
It just made me as a reader more engaged in the story because I wasn't worried about them getting caught or someone getting fired etc.
As always the LGBTQIA+ representation in Finley's books is handled in a way that is empowering for her characters. It is one of my favorite things about these books.
This is a perfect read for someone looking to escape into a sweet & funny romance with a great HEA.

At this point, I'm
1) Convinced I know how hockey works (I really don't)
2) Sure that everyone in the entire Sadenverse is real, and I won't accept proof of otherwise
3) In love with all of these idiots, and Quinn/Vance really weren't an exception.
