Im sorry , i can't describe this book iwith another word other than bad
Bad plot , the reason for hating and bullying her is so childish and immature and it's not even something she's done .
Like im so done with the i hate her trope for something so so dumb and unworthy of this whole fisco , like authors if you want your bully mmc to be an ass and hate the fmc at least give him a good valide reason , because this dude's reason just makes him unlikeable , childish and frankly stupid.

And don't get me started on the virgin weakling fmc that just takes it all as if we're still in the middle ages, and forgives the mmc in a heartbeat , heck she didn't even have to forgive him because he didn't apologise nor did she see anything wrong with what he's done.

The other woman drama where there is a described scene of him fucking her friend and her seeing and hearing everything was just gross and uncalled for even if it was for revenge , and it was literally a day after he took her virginity. Peak romance am i right
There's so much more i can go off on but honestly i just want to forget i ever read this book.

... shot through the heart...

I've read every single book by this author, and Beautiful Brute just became my favourite one.

So many feels! I loved it so much, and I loved everything about it - the hero, the heroine, thier parents, friends ( I love this gang), the plot, the story line, writing style, the heartbrakes and the moments of love.

Cleo is the good girl. She's a virgin when she sleeps with Jax. When the words 'I'm your stepbrother' are thrown in her face she feels lost.
Jax is the villain you'll love. He knows Cleo is his stepsister when he sleeps with her. He does it because of the revenge. He feels empty, cold, hateful even. He was ripped of a father when he was just a boy, and Cleo got his father as hers. But the more he is with Cleo the less he hates her.

Beautiful Brute is the most emotional book by this author so far. Those moments, when I as a reader saw that lost, broken boy in Jax, were the most beautiful ones to me.

so good

I loved this one even with its taboo craziness. Jax is insane but honestly so are all the court boys. Cleo is so innocent and fresh and he’s just a mofo. Lawson got on my dang nerves man; I did not like that guy. I love how Cleo just fits in wherever even though she seems so green in the beginning. Very good story.

This was super cute! The ending made me so very happy, and hearing from previous characters was a great through back.

I feel unsafe... Jax was crazy messed up the first half of the book. I was considering DNF'ing the book but something about it made me not want to stop.

The way the last 3rd of the book tries to make you convinced that what he did was even moderately normal as he just has daddy issues and was lied to by his parents is just fucked.

The ending was cute as I started to forget what an absolute horrible person he was at the start of the book.

I wish I saved me time and avoided the first half of the book

This one was even harder for me to get through than Kingpin and that was rough. Cleo was a hard FMC to connect with, she was very naive and it made things a little... creepy? I had loved Jax throughout the previous books but this one made him out to be such a...jerrrrk. Still worth the read, I do recommend it, just a little urked.
